Gin Recipes & Cocktails
From the classic gin and tonic to punches for a crowd — these gin recipes will help you make the most of every bottle. Step-by-step instructions and pro tips from the Gin Men.

🍋 Gin and Tonic
The world’s most famous gin drink. Simple, refreshing, and endlessly customisable. The key is the ratio: 1 part gin to 2 parts tonic, always.
Ingredients
- 4 ice cubes
- 2 oz (60ml) gin
- 4 oz (120ml) tonic water
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 lime wedge, to garnish
Method
- Fill a highball glass with ice.
- Pour the gin over the ice.
- Add the lime juice.
- Top slowly with cold tonic water.
- Garnish with a lime wedge. Stir gently once.
Gin Men Tip: Use Fever-Tree Mediterranean tonic with a floral gin like Hendrick’s for a completely different — and brilliant — experience.
🍊 Negroni

Equal parts gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth. Bitter, rich, and deeply satisfying. Invented in Florence, Italy, around 1919 when Count Negroni asked for his Americano with gin instead of soda.
Ingredients
- 1 oz (30ml) gin
- 1 oz (30ml) Campari
- 1 oz (30ml) sweet vermouth
- Large ice cube
- Orange twist, to garnish
Method
- Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice.
- Stir for 20–30 seconds until chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
- Express an orange twist over the glass and use as garnish.
Gin Men Tip: Use a juniper-forward gin like Beefeater or Tanqueray to stand up to the Campari.
🌊 Salty Dog
Gin with fresh grapefruit juice and a salted rim. Bitter, sweet, and citrus-forward — massively underrated.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz (45ml) dry gin
- 5 oz (150ml) fresh grapefruit juice
- ¼ tsp sea salt (for the rim)
- Ice
Method
- Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass.
- Dip the rim in sea salt.
- Fill the glass with ice.
- Add gin, then top with fresh grapefruit juice.
- Stir gently and serve.
🫖 Flower of Five Gin Punch

An elegant crowd-pleaser — Earl Grey tea meets gin, passion fruit, and lemon. Makes 8–10 servings.
Ingredients
- 4 cups brewed Earl Grey tea, cooled
- 2 cups gin
- ½ cup passion fruit liqueur
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- ½ cup simple syrup
- 1 cup soda water (optional)
- Ice, lemon slices, fresh mint & seasonal fruit to garnish
Method
- Brew Earl Grey tea (4–5 bags, 4 cups hot water, steep 5 min). Cool completely.
- Combine tea, gin, liqueur, lemon juice and simple syrup in a punch bowl.
- Stir, taste, adjust sweetness. Refrigerate 1 hour.
- Before serving, add ice and stir in soda water.
- Garnish with lemon, mint and seasonal fruit.
Gin Men Tip: Freeze water with lemon slices in a bundt pan for an ice ring — keeps punch cold without diluting it.
